Artist Biography

Autism is a gift.

The artist known simply as RMC, who now also refers to himself as an “Autist”, is an autistic individual who has discovered and developed a deep, special interest surrounding watercolour art. In celebration of this newfound interest and unique way of expression, he has subsequently set up the Artism project to celebrate the vast array of gifts that autism can bring.

RMC says: “This gift that I have found has given me a new sense of unpacking and expressing the emotions that I have previously struggled with over the years. My gift has, in turn, given me many more gifts, and I, therefore, want to give something back to others in return.”
